Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

guidende require

Hello,

My husband works in US.I was staying with him in US.After few months his parents went to US to live with us.One day when my husband went to motel without informing me and his parents were forcing me to come back to india i called police.I told the police about everything. My inlaws even lied to police that he has gone to office tour.Police assured me no body can kick me out of the house.I requested the police to tell my husbnad to come back but police said they cannot do it as its his persoonal matter. Then they left. After 20 minutes my husbnad came back and he confessed me he was in motel.

But now in indian court my husbnad is claiming that i called the police in false case and police warned me not to call them in future in any false case otherwise they will impose penalty on me.Completely lie.Nothing like this happened.

Can i request the judge to tell my husband to give me to copy of US police statement so that i can challenge it and can get genuine statement from US police by faxing them and asking them to help me in this matter?

Re: guidende require

You may get summons from court to US police for production of documents.

Since complaint was lodged by you, you yourself can apply to US Police for the certified copy of complaint.

you should consult a lawyer in US or the police in US with whom you had lodged a complaint and request them to provide you with certified copies of the statements from their records

Re: guidende require

The issue was not that important and may not be a relevant piece of evidence in Indian court. You may focus on your case on other available evidence with the help of your local lawyer.
