Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Hello,

I got married under hma last year.My husband works in UK on work permit visa holding indian passport.Due to extreme torture i came back to india and filed maintenence case and divorce case against my husbnad.I have proof of UK police report and reports of NGO oF UK..My lawyer is saying that opponent party will oppose these evidence by saying as UK police and UK NGO cannot come so this annexture cannot not be count as evidence.

Can police report from UK and NGO report from UK cannot be count as evidence as they cannot come for trial in indian court?

as per indian evidence act, every document has to be authenticated by the executor of the document and only then the same can be relied upon. in case the UK agencies cannot come, even then the court may write to them and ask whether the documents are genuine. in case the report is in affirmative, the documents can be relied upon by the indian courts.
