Housing Society

How can we the office beares stop another body formed by a group of defaulters from collecting the legitimate maintenance charges due to the society? Also what action we need to take against them in Thane City, Maharashtra State.

Body formed without following procedure prescribed has no authority.

Various actions can be taken against the members indulging in such illegal activities, including their expulsion.

You may approach Registrar Societies for their expulsion or other possible relief available in rules. Civil Court is also a forum to deal with such acts.

MC and general body has got wide powers. you can also approach the Registrar of co-op societies
