Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
My husband is working in US on H1 visa.He is holding an Indian passport.I have filed FIR against him in India under sec 498a and 406.My husband has yet not returned my jeweleries.Also he is willfully avoiding to pay me maintenance in spite of distress warrant against him.I am told only police can approach the court for passport impound and i cannot approach the court for his passport impound.Can i approach the court to impound his passport as one arrest warrant and one distress warrant is pending against him in India?

You can also maake request court to order the police to take necessary action for impounding of Passport.
