Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
If an Indian citizen on work visa to the US is wanted by the US authorities on account of felony for child molestation charges and if the accused has escaped to India, can he still be arrested? How? What is the extradition procedure? Can the accused contest extradition in Indian court? How long does this process take?

Extradition procedure is based on the treaty between two countries and rules framed by concerned Govt. The accused can contest the extradition procedure in the court. Time required is difficult to predict.
