Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

In an inebriated state I got into a brawl with bystanders and police in Kolkata. I have scant memory of what happened. I am a foreign citizen - my passport details were taken but not my passport. As far as I know a joint complaint was launched by those involved. Thus far it has not been treated as an FIR but this may change. I was released on bond. Is it possible to leave the country before an FIR is officially launched or will I be stopped at the airport given that my passport details were taken at the PS.

Your information is not clear. What statement was recorded ? Do you have any written statement with you ? It would give a clear picture about your brawl etc. and subsequent release on a bond by you by police. And of course to give you advice on your queries.
