Since u hve admitted the issuance of cheques. Then burden lies upon u to prove d following

1. Nothing is due against those cheques

2. Cheques are time barred as d same had been issued 8_9 yrs back

if you could substantiate that the cheques were issued 8 or 9 years back based on the series of the cheque, cheque in use now or from other communication, then 138 will not be made out.
