Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

My Landlord's son has filed a Civil Suit against us on the ground of bonafide requirement and the matter is subjudice in the BOMBAY HIGH COURT. The Landlord's son has forged one document in which he has forged the signature of his father and also signature of my father. His father used to sign in Gujarati(which he admitted in Court and also produced some documents wherein signature of his father is in Gujarati) and the signature in the document which he produced is in English. Also my father used to sign in full name where in the said document, signature of my father is in single letter. How can we prove this in the Court and also how can we get the signature verfied by an expert. Can i take legal action against my Landlord?

you can file a complaint u/s 468/471 of IPC and seek directions of the court for getting the signatures verified by CFSL. your right to initiate criminal proceedings are independent and would have not hamper the civil case.

Consider a complaint of forgery in police/court where offence committed and an application u/s.340 Cr.P.C. to the Court for making a complaint for use of forged document in the suit.
