You have to face trial, there is no other way.
In criminal trial, evidence is of most importance, your advocate has to break evidence of prosecution to prove u innocent.
As per your case, if you were in college, when violence broke out, you can have defense of alibi, you can step in witness box, and say that. But mind, if alibi is not proved, then that might come against you also. So if you have advocate then follow his advise, instead of internet advise. Cause here we give advise only on general law propositions.
In criminal trial each and every document has to perused, and then only advise can be given. We advise you not to take advise like this in isolation, this will mislead you, which please note.

If you want to adduce evidence of alibi, you can do so at the time of trial during your statement followed by defence evidence adduced by you.
