is it legal for a boy and girl to stay in a single hotel room in India?

Dear Sir,
A.Why not ?
1) They both may be brother and sister and blood related;
2) Or they can be Company executives who are on outstation duty for Company work.
3) Or boy and girl also includes and encompasses husband and wife.
I hope you are not looking at it from a very narrow pessimistic perspective.
