makaan maalik se ghagra

I have lived in this apt. for almost 11 years, I have painted my self twice because the landlord refuses to do it, everytime I mention it they say ''you are the one who pay the least rent'' I try to explain that is not my fault I have been living there for so long and they can only raise 3% or 5%. They still refuse to paint. Are they legally responsible for painting? I appreciate your response. Thank you

You may want to look at your contract and read the same with the local rent laws.

Since your a tenant one therefore your right is limited in a same way your responsibility is also limited .so you are not responsible to look after any major repairing work on your own cost.
