Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I got married in India under Hindu marriage act.My husband works in US on h1 visa. When i was in US my husband used to torture me there. So my father has lodged 498a against him in India. Now i have also come back in India.Recently both me and my husband have decided to go for mutual divorce.I have agreed to withdraw 498a against him after getting money from him.My question is whether my fathers sign is needed to withdraw 498a as he has lodge 498a against my husband or just my sign will do?

in case the 498a was lodged by your father and you intend to get the same quashed, merely your statement and signatures are sufficient for getting the f.i.r. quashed. is your husband coming from US to file the divorce by mutual consent or he be represented by some attorney.
