Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I got married on Jan.1997. A dowry harassment complaint was installed in Police station against me in may 1997 by my wife's brother. After that we lived together and gave a male childbirth in 1999. That complaint was left like that. In 2003 my wife applied for divorce and granted in 2006. Now that person got court direction by 156(3) crpc and FIR was filed. Is this case is right? or Will this case bind me?

you are advised to approach the high court and file a petition for quashing u/s 482 of criminal procedure code on the grounds that the f.i.r. is being lodged on a report filed in 1997 despite the fact there is a limitation of 3 years.
