Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Medical Jurisprudence

during the cross examination the medical officer admitted that he did not examine the deceased as prescribed but as for his experience is concerned he can tell whether sodomy has been committed or not.

My question is whether a medical expert can tell that penetration in to anus has been made just in a glance/look after one week of occurrence without examining as prescribed?

Re: Medical Jurisprudence

For offence of sodomy, whether actual penetration is necessary? Provisions and case laws pertaining to unnatural offences are quite wide. In any case, medical evidence is only corroborative evidence and some irregularity may not wash out the case.
