Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
negotiable instrument act
We had supplied materials to a company upon recieving post dated cheques. The materials were delivered but subsequently cheques have bounced. We served them legal notice through advocate but so far they have not responded. The Case was filed. There advocate appeared on behalf of them. IS THE PROCESS BEING FOLLOWED CORRECTLY according to law. Is the process so slow ? Will the offender imprisoned ? how much time it usally takes in such cases ?

Process appears to be correct, subject to compliances of law of limitation.
For other queries, one can not predict.

Yes the process is going properly. You need to trust your advocate he can give you reply on your case, better then us.
No one can predict in court of law, as to how time it will take to complete a case, and what will be the out come of the case.
