Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Normative Judgments ?

I have confusion on the basis of finality of decisions when the public opinion involved. In a popular case in India, I have noticed that facts and evidences were in favor of accused but public opinion was in favored of victim. Than, judge has given judgment in favor of victim. Does the judgement of judge violate the very concept of justice ? If yes than why ? If not than why ? Please tell.
