What is the number of times a court generally sends the summons to the accused in NI Act?

Only once, if not served court will reissue until it is served

If summons is returned unserved than the court reissues summons. But if after receiving summons the accused fails to appear it may on application of complainant issue bailable / non bailable arrest warrant in case of S138 NI Act..
