PO serch warrentunder section 97 of criminal procedure code

Dear Sir

I have a power of attorney from my son abroad. His son has ben abducted to Bihar. I am in other state in India . Can I apply for a serch warrent with the power of atorney with me for my grand son. on behalf of my son.

There is no need of POA to proceed in this matter.

You can apply in your own name. No need to use name or Power of Attorney of your son.

Being grandfather you have every right in this regard.There is no need of POA.

abduction is an offence/crime.

in criminal case any one can iniate for proceeding.

suggestion to you--lodge fir in police,or file complaint case in magistrate court,or file writ in high court.
