Does the police holds the right to take the criminals family member or relative to the police station and keep them in the police custody.

There is no practice to hold any family member, not involved in commission of an offence, to hold in police custody. Only a person involved in commission of a criminal offence may be summoned and detailed by the police in accordance with law.
