this about previous statement. a previous statement is NOT disowned by the witness. it is marked as an deffence exhibit. is it necessary to bring the contridictions to his notice during cross examination?/or is it enough to highlight the omissions and contridictions at the tme of arguement//

Unless a witness is confronted with contradictions and material omissions, same is not useful either as evidence or during arguments.
