Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
My question is this i stay in mumbai and i got alots of thriting calls from one person who stay in other state.now if i lodge complain against that person with number in mumbai.how can police arrest that person because person stay in other state.can i go to make complain against that person.

the police would be reluctant to lodge an f.i.r. merely on your saying and you will have to inform the police in advance and the police needs to tap the calls in order to ascertain whether the other person is threatening you on phone. once it is done, the f.i.r. u/s 506 IPC can be lodged in mumbai even if the offender belongs to some other state.
