Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
we have recently found out that some papers which are filed for a civil suit by the plaintiff have forged signatures.We are the defendants. the case was filed in 2006 . is it possible to file complaint/case for forgery now after 6 years?

yes, for forgery and cheating the limitation is continuous and running.

it is well within the limitation but u need to explain the delay on the ground of gaining the knowledge of forgery recently.

yes you may an application in same case and demand in court to register a criminal case due to forged documents.

May be. There is no limitation prescribed. However, unexplained delays are fatal in some cases.
