Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I need to renew my Indian passport but I am a committee member of my temple and due to dispute with other members, other party has filed a false criminal defamation
case on all committee member stating that they have been bitten up by committee members.
How this will effect my passport renewanl process?
Should I apply for passport now or wait until case get dismiss? Case should get dismiss in next 6 months but I need passport for my greencard process.

you may apply for passport clearly stating the case and the particular offence under which the case is going on. However, you may seek permission of the court for renewal of the passport and give that permission to the passport office so that passport may be renewed and the process of your green card could be completed.
