Respected lawyers,

I am working and earning 8,000 per month.My husband works in US on H1 visa.He earns 4,50,000

per month.One lawyer has advice me to filed for maintenance under sec 125 crpc as my husband earns huge amount.But he has advice me to suppress the fact that i am working and earning 8,000 per month.But if i will suppress it can it bring kind of trouble for me for suppressing this fact?

you need not suppress the fact that you working and earning 8k as the courts need to decide the maintenance as per your husband's earning capacity and your husband i duty bound to maintain you as per his life style and there is a huge difference between 8k and 4.5lacs. you may demand the maintenance accordingly. is there any child involved?
