Dear Sir / Madam,

In India, there are small cause courts at the District Magistrate level all over the country that attend to and resolve criminal complaints. If you have taken recourse to police action and sought protection, you should file a writ petition explaining the nature of crime and the relief sought by you. If you are guilty and the co-accused in the crime, you should plead guilty, in order to minimize the penalty / punishment / fine announced by the Judge(s) hearing your case.
