Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Hello respective lawyers,

I was tortured in USA. In India i have filled 498a against my husband. I had to bear all my expenses in USA from the money i got from my family, though i was not working there. My husband knew that i could use the bank statement to prove the above statement so he never gave me the bank statement. I went to bank in USA and requested them to give me another bank statement as it was a paid bank statement and i did not have that much dollar so i asked them to give me black & white print out of the computer generated bank statement rather than the colored one.

My husband's lawyer is now opposing it by saying that bank never issued black & white bank statement. But in my case they have given it.As now i am in India, i cannot go to bank again and verify the bank statement from them.

My question is is black & white computer generated bank statement not accepted as evidence?

the black and white statement is acceptable in india but it has to be proved that the statement was issued by the bank. you need an acknowledgement or letter from the bank saying that the statement was issued by them. otherwise the same cannot be relied upon.
