Return of Cheque
A cheque has been returned as 'exceeds arrangement'. What should I do to recover the amount?

s3nd him a notice thro your lawyer within one month of dishonour and demand the amount and if he fails to return then file a complaint u/s 138 of negotiable instruments act for more details www.angelfire.com/folk/indianlaws

You should send a demand notice upon the drawer; and if you do not receive the demanded money within stipulated period, you may file a criminal complaint u/s 138 of NI Act and also file a suit for recovery. It may be better to seek help from a local lawyer.
