Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
under which section the impounding of the passport of an indian passport holder( who is still an indian citizen and working abroad as the employer has sponsored a visa) can be done? As i have heard that if a criminal case is pending against somebody in India then the passport can be impounded.

passport is not impounded as a matter of course in each n every litigation. it depends upon circumstances of the case. elaborate the case for the suggestion.
