For offence U/s.420 IPC, no period of limitation has been prescribed.

However, report of any offence should be made as soon as possible and in case of delay, same is required to be explained satisfactorily.

There is no time limit; however, the matter should be reported at the earliest after the cheating comes to your knowledge.

there isnt any limitation of time for filing a suit under 420 but it should be filed to the ealiest after knowledge of cheating
