Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I have given a security cheque to some Bank.And it got bounced,however I have paid half the amount of the cheque but they have registered case against me and charged huge amount of interest,legal charges etc.I am ready to pay the principal outstanding but they are unwilling to make settlement.Please advice me how to go about

u/s 138 of the NI Act, after dishonour, you must be served notice (within 15 days of date of dishonour) and you must be given 15 days time to make payment. No interest, legal cost nothing can be charged.
So make balance payment and matter will be over.
