Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Sir I have issued a Checks of Rs 1,15,000. 00 . to One of my Client .. and I have paid Subsequently the amount into His account. Now I wanted the Check back from Him ..and he Denies to pay me my Check... what can I do .. and he has also Served a Notice to me to make the payment Immediately or he will file a Case against me. What Can I do in order to Recover the Check and what is the Consequence if he Sues me for Non payment ? Do I need to Pay him again ?

in case you have transferred the money equivalent to the cheque amount, your lawyer may send a reply to the legal notice stating that there is no liability and the payment has already been made. even if he files a case, you may take the same defence.
