sir can a lady marry any other person when she filed case against her husband and in laws family..and if yes what will be the effect of 498 a case..will it be stopped or proceed even after her marriage..

A lady unless divorced from her first husband cannot marry any other person.

An offence is committed on a particular date or period of time.
Subsequent marriage after divorce may not have effect of stopping proceedings already initiated / pending.

Both proceedings are different. However without divorce the second marriage will be null and void
