hi sir one of my partner given 4lakhs chaque to me and it has bounce last 2 months over can i take legal action aginst him

in case 2 months have passed since bouncing of cheque, you need to re deposit the same and when it bonces the second time, you need to send a legal notice within one months from bouncing of the cheque and thereafter you can file a criminal complaint u/s 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act.
