Police role goes on till filing of challan and till the end of case.
But respondent/defendents can take bail, but bail depends upon judge descrition and upon expertness of your lawyer.
Police are required to investigate and submit a report.
police must have submitted investigation report as you have filed pvt complaint. Accused can take bail after they receive summons for appearance from the court.
