Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Hello Sir,
I am currently rising in Pune. Mine is a very peculiar case.
I got my passport in July-2003 from Hyderabad and it will expire soon i.e July-2013.
I am thinking to renew it. I have never traveled abroad till now. But in future there is a possibility for me to travel abroad.
I am afraid to renew my passport.Thing is..
on Jan-2005 My cousin brother had been arrested under section-420 in Vishakapatnam. Soon after 10 days he got bail.
Unfortunately I am the surety for his bail, as a process i deposited 10000/- as security deposit and i submitted photocopy of my passport as an address proof.
In March 2005 we shifted from Hyderabad to Pune. From then my brother has never attended trails of his case in vishakapatnam.
1) Is there a possibility of FIR registered on my name as i submitted photocopy of my passport for his bail?
2) If Yes, where will be FIR registered in Hyderabad or in Vishakapatanam?
3) What if i mention 'No FIR registered against me' in Passport renewal application?
4) If i renew my passport by applying it in Pune, will the police verification will happen from Hyderabad whether the applicant has any FIR registered on his name or not?
Kindly address the above questions sir.
Let me know if you want me to call you. Waiting for your reply sir
Regards,
Praveen

it is advisable to hire a lawyer and he would deposit 10000 in the court and withdraw your surety.
Withdraw yourself as surety.
