Hello Sir,

I was working in an web development company, they gave me salary in cheque 8550/- but this cheque has bounced, i would like to know that if i'll file a case that time how much i'll get..they get me out of my job without any notice..

what was the reason of dishonor? Have you presented the cheque after its validity ? Present the cheque again if it is still valid (cheque validity in india is 3 months from the date of the cheque) or else you have to send notice and get the money paid along with compensation under 138 of the negotiable instrument act. you may send a legal notice within one month of dishonor of cheque and thereafter file a complaint u/s 138 of negotiable instruments act if they do not pay up within 15 days of notice.

Mr.Rajiv is right.

send legal notice. and it will not take much time. Usually we finish such cases within 6 months and also got penelty.
