Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Hello Sir/Mam,

I am the student & applied for scholarship in social welfare department (SWD). I got scholarship amount less than Rs. 3000.00 in my account thru direct deposit which recently came in my knowledge when I got updated my account passbook. Now SWD found that the income certificate is fake. I got this income certificate issued from local collectorate office but when SWD inquired about this income certificate from collectorate office then they denied and said they did not issue this income certificate so finally SWD filled the FIR against me under IPC 420 & 468. When I have talked to SWD office they said that there is a pressure from MLA & DM to file the FIR against me. I have filled the dowry case against my in-laws. They have influential people & also got good political hands so they acting against me and giving me a mental torture. Could you pls suggest me what is the right procedure to protect myself & my family? As of now I have hired one lawyer & I am trying to get the stay order on arrest from high court. Pls suggest me what else should I do? Thanks in adv.!!

Offence is quite serious. However, you can think of chalking out your defence only upon submission of final report of investigation by the police. In the meanwhile, your step to get the stay on arrest appears appropriate.
