Is there any time limit to file a F.I.R.?

i was punished by my office in case of sexual harashment in 2006.

after that complinent file a complaint in police Marrch 2008 in same case, and i booked under IPC 500 and 509, now i receive a summon from court.

My question is there any time limit to file a F.I.R.? in a same case that is already closed in office,

There can not be police complaint for offence U/s.500, which is required to be filed in Court directly.

an F.I.R should be filed within reasonable time. however the term 'reasonable time' has not been defined in law. But the delay in filing an F.I.R has to be explained with strong reasons otherwise the complaint may be dismissed

The closing of case in office has no relevancy for your criminal prosecution. thee is no illegality involved.
