visiting another country with criminal record in other country

Hi,

Iam form india. WHen i was in US around 8 months back, I had petty offence(shoplifting) with my name. If i want to visit some other country, do i need to say yes if asked about Conviction? I dont want to disclose that bad experience. Please help.

You should not feel bad about whatever happened in the past.You had paid the price for your mistake and now you should come out of it.

You may disclose the truth without any guilt feeling. They will appreciate your gesture of coming clean at least now. The concealment or wrong statement of a fact at this stage may comparatively cause more harm than good.
