Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
wife lodged complaint in the police station against her husband and in laws, the matter reffered to couselling center. Matter compromised for getting divorce with permanent alimony. Both filed divorce with mutual consent in family court. As per the understanding husbansd paid half half of the amount and the remaining will be given at the time of granting divorce, later after six months wife refused for divorce and pending the same she filed private complaint in the court against all the family members of husband acusing harashment under section 498A IPC and Dowry Prohibition Act and alleging that the husband is having ilicit intimacy with his cousin sister and that compromise was effeced and that money was given with force. The case reffered and registered now pending for trail. Will that compromise deed useful in the trail for getting acquital. Please answer me in detail. Thanque.
