Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
My wife is in her parents's house for last many months who is forcing me to go on rent separating me from my parents through woman cell by giving fear of inflated list of dowry /stridhan. If I agree with her to go on rent and she is ready to pay the rent, whether rent agreement should be in her name or my name.

whether it is in your name or your wife, you both are equally liable to pay the rent as you both are jointly and severally liable for your civil liabilities.
