Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

i am working in abroad my wife and children are living in Kerala. we plan a trip with our family friend. at that time we were running shortage of money to pay for trip so we plane to cancel the trip. at that time our family friend told he will give some money for a small interest just give it back when we get it. we refused it first but they compel us. so we thought of going and after all that i came back to abroad. after one month wife went to them for giving the money back which is 400000.but when she reach there he told that the interest was 10% we were shoked to here that. my wife asked for some more time to pay the interest at that time he made my wife and my daughter to sign in many check and proms er note we give him a huge amount of interest nearly 4000000 but he is still saying again we have a huge amount to give. due to this i called him and told what your doing is not correct i am not going to pay any more amount. now he is telling to give one of our house to him he have printed in that proms er note that we have brought 120000 lack from him by pledging our property.i don't know what to do they are harassing my wife and children. and the house they are asking from us is given for lease. due to paying him lots of money to that person even i have lots of financial problem. we were about to sell that property to the people who r staying there but now everything is stop due to this. i want to know can i sell my property to the people who r staying there. do that person can make any problem if i sell that. need a advice. it would be greatful
