Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
.X tells Y thatZ told him about the offence... X is no more and cannot be examined. is the version of Y that Z told about the offence to X admissible as per evidence act/ is it ''hearsay"?

It depends on when and in what circumstances the alleged telling happened.

in case Z cannot testify, Y's testimony holds no good. it may be considered a hearsay.
