my younger brother who is residing in punjab comlplained to police that i kept mu father under detention at my work place agra where the fact is that he is voulantary and happily leaving with me. is it possible to file defamation suit at my work place i.e. agra

if he made complaint to the punjab police the cause of action is at punjab. But for defamation, you have to show the impact of such false accusation to your reputation. if you can show that the it lowered your reputation at Agra, then you may file a suit for damages on defamation at agra or a criminal complaint for defamation at agra.
