Legal Question in Education Law in India

I am working with a franchisee school, of a reputed preschool chain in Kochi,Kerala. I have worked here for three years. I would like to know the vacation leave that I am entitled to. Nothing about the leaves for employees is mentioned in our appointment letters. And for the past three years we had summer camps for the two vacation months, ie April and May each year. I have asked my authorities about the vacation leave that I am entitled to, but they have been pretty vague on thier answers, they say there is no vacation leave. They say that we are entitled to only one casual leave (which is a paid leave) every month. They say that these casual leaves can be accumalated over the year and taken up within that year(ie, only 12 CL per year). But me being an academic as well as a non academic staff was not in a position to take my accumalated leaves. This is a very reputed pre school chain in South India.Having ten franchisee branches in Kochi itself (one being our branch). On asking an employee with another franchisee I was informed that two other branches offered 30 days vacation leave every year. But our authorities say it varies from franchisee to franchisee. Sir I want to know-

*Under which act do these pre schools fall?

*Are'nt there standard rules governing these preschools, for the benift of the staff?

*Isn't there any rule regarding the minimum no. of Leaves that each organisation is entitled to give its employee?

*What are the types of leave that I/we are entitled to?

*Can the vacation leave, casual leave and other leaves be accumalated and claimed at the time of leaving the organisation?

* I have given my one month notice of resignation by e mail, and I shall leave in a week? How do I claim my leaves?

*What are the points that I should specify when I e mail my request for leave claims?

* Are the rules for private preschools similar to that of preschool registered as a company( Two years ago the franchisee owner merged two of his franchisee school units into one registered company, will this be of benifit to me?

please do let us know asap....a lot of us employees are looking forward for your reply
