there is copyright act for getting copyright on the composition.

lawyers can do it for you otherwise u can go for touts and u urself can do this too.

First of all, it is not mandatory in India to copyright your work. Any copyrightable work is protected automatically upon creation. But if somebody wants to and need extra protection, they can do it. I personally believe to register one's work.

Musical works and sound recordings can be registered under Copyright Act.

As far as procedure goes, it depends what type of work one wants to register.
