Legal Question in Environmental Law in India
I have a industry and there is green belt around the factory complex as per govt order. But due to proposed expansion, we may cut some trees this green belt and at some locations. these are about 10 - 13 yr old trees. what is the law for cutting this plant

If the area is notified green belt in the Master Plan then you cannot cut these trees and otherwise you have to take permission from the Forest authorities and the District Magistrate concerned and without such permission cutting of trees shall be a crime
