Legal Question in Family Law in India

498A,406- Charge sheet & FAD(further action dropped)

I have recieved a report From the Investigation officer saying that since my wife has given a statement that she will get her grievances settled through the divorce and m.c cases . Therefore the investigating officer has has told that further action has been dropped for 498A and 406 . Does this mean that my criminal case is over and what action should I take in this regard. Should I also quash this in high court to be double sure.

No, you do not need quashing; rather you need to settle the matter peacefully once for all with you wife; you should try to secure an agreement from her by paying her dues as also permanent alimoney; and seek dissolution of marriage by mutual consent.
