Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a 26 years old female and got married 2.5 yrs ago. My husband was always cruel to me but just to make the marriage work i was bearing him. He is very greedy by nature. In May 2012, he throw me out of the house and took all my jewelery and stuffs. I left home and thought that in some days he will realize my value and will come back to take me. But in just 5 days he send me legal notice saying, i have left the home and took all the jewelery. And i was having an affair with a guy. So i also file the case in the court for the divorse. Court sent him legal notice for the further proceedings but he did not took the notice from courier boy. Then court sent the notice again after 1 month he again did not took. Now again court has sent the notice. But i am afraid that he will not come this time also. As i am financially not as strong as him. I want to ask that what further i can do. I am not in hurry of divorce but i want my maintainence. Please guide me what should i do. I am also Afraid because he can go abroad, thtn what i will do. Should i consult some women cell.Please guide me. Waiting for your reply.

u can take the assistance of women cell further for maintenance u have file case under section 125 of CrPC

instead of wasting more time, you may go for divorce by mutual consent and save your precious years. you both can decide the amount of permanent alimony and go ahead with divorce. in case he does not agree, you have a number of options viz. complaint under domestic violence act, maintenance petition u/s 125 crpc. you can also go for a complaint to crime against women cell. these authorities would compel him to appear before them.
