Legal Question in Family Law in India
It has been 2 years 4 months since my marriage. We are Hindus, and it was an arranged marriage. Right from the beginning, there has been a lot of incompatibility with my husband and in-laws. I was sexually and otherwise ignored by my husband for a year after our marriage. Meanwhile, I was subjected to continuous verbal abuse by my in-laws and they forced me to leave my job which I couldn't agree to. My husband lost his job 10 months back. I have been living separately for the last 6 months after resigning my job. There has been no communication from my husband for the last 3 1/2 months and he is avoiding me. I had left behind many of my valuable belongings at his residence while leaving. When my parents called my in-laws, they said we cannot communicate with my husband anymore, and he is not ready to meet me. How do I proceed with divorce if my husband doesn't agree to mutual consent?

first file complaint about harassment and to get your articles back.
Then DVA application to get maintenance.
Then he will himself approach you for mutual divorce.
If you want to save your marriage life then file section 9 of HMA and DVA only.
Regards
You may file a domestic violence case against your husband if you want to get divorce then you can file a divorce suit against your husband, if you want to save your matrimonial life then you file a restitution of conjugal life against your husband. Above from this my suggestion is that you should try to reconcile the matter and talk to your husband first.
You may consider initiating a criminal complaint against your husband and in-laws u/ss 406/498-A of I.P.C.
